Black Brick Home
Open Plan Living
With a northpoint to the front of this property, the open plan living and dining was designed to the front to take advantage of as much northern sunlight as possible. The entry was designed with the client’s privacy in mind, being positioned to the side of the home & with a full-length picture window opposite the front door. This feature window means the client & their guests are greeted by the breathtaking view of meticulous & lush garden upon entry. I also proposed for a feature brick to run from external to internal and to external again to add personality to the home. The open plan kitchen was designed to seamlessly connect with the alfresco & dining areas. As this was to be the client’s forever home, both the kitchen and laundry focused on the inclusion of having appliances at ideal working heights for ease & accessibility.
The master bedroom was designed to the rear of the home, with private access to the garden courtyard.
The first floor includes two bedrooms and a multipurpose room. This multipurpose room was designed to be a flexible space, an area for the grandkids to play, or to sit back and read a book in the reading nook. This multipurpose room was designed in a way that it can easily be converted into a fourth bedroom at a later stage if the clients wished to do so.
The clients were extremely happy with the design proposed & presented to them and had no changes to the floor plan or elevation.
